Features of Planoconvex Lens:
The planoconvex lens has a convex side and a flat side. It is with positive focal length, usually used to narrow the beam, decrease focal length, or enlarge image. In order to reduce the spherical aberration, the beam should be incident on the convex side when the planoconvex lens is used to focus the collimating beam. For point light source collimation, the beam should be incident on the flat side.
